Inclement Weather

Winter weather is arriving in our area this week.  Safety remains our top priority, so please review the Winter Snow Removal Plan & Snow Plow Schedule to help our city crew keep streets clear.

Avoid Parking on the Street  

Where possible move vehicles off the street to enable public works crews to work safely and efficiently in clearing the streets.

Even/Odd Parking on the Street

"Even/Odd" parking is in place to allow snowplows to clear the entire width of city streets, from curb to curb, during and immediately following snow events.  By switching the side on which cars are parked each day, plows can reach areas previously blocked by parked cars.

On even numbered days (ex. January 10th), cars will be required to park on the east side of the street (for north/south streets) or on the south side of the street (for west/east streets).

On odd numbered days (ex. January 11th), cars will be required to park on the west side of the street (for north/south streets) or on the north side of the street (for west/east streets).

Please continue to move vehicles on subsequent days until the snow event is over and the driving lanes are clear of snow.
